Cottage Cheese High Protein Snack

high protein snackThere are a few important reasons to add some protein to each meal - muscle recovery, injury recovery, muscle building, staying fuller longer (i.e. not mindlessly snacking). So it makes perfect sense to zoom on protein when you do snack, and cottage cheese is an excellent source of protein.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • ΒΌ cup blueberries
  • 1-2 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Directions:

1. Fill your bowl with cottage cheese (I prefer low fat to no fat, for the taste)

2. Rinse your blueberries and sprinkle over. You can use fresh or frozen.

3. Sprinkle with your choice of nuts (almonds are great but you could also try pistachios or walnuts).

4. Finally, a drizzle of maple syrup or your preferred sweetener.
